Ok, so we get a couple C3 nutz trapped in the C1 & C2 area and they can't get out. :)

[glb]Just to let everyone know we have had some interest in spreading out to the other model years of the Corvette and it just so happens that we do have several C-3 owners who own or have owned earlier model Corvettes or want to own an earlier Vett.

I've been fortunate to have owned and driven for five years a wonderful C1 1961 Red with white coves Corvette that was such a pleasure to drive and own. A dream car for sure. While driving this car to the shows and winning many trophies I felt the need for a muscle car and settled on another Corvette and purchased my current 1977 C3.

I sold the C1 several years ago for several reasons. Keeping a C1 in it's natural state is costly. Not impossible but it is a little pricey and someone had more cash than I could say no. It was a bitter sweet sale but I feel worth moving on.

The 77 has been a great deal funner do to the fact I have no preconcieved notion of keeping it factory. Thats what makes the 77 so much fun. Not bashing those that do keep them stock but as noted on several other posts it's your car and you do as you like.

Now I'm the proud owner of a Split Window 63. The car is in the worst case possible but that's why I bought it. It's dirt cheap and I have a partner who is willing to labor and teach me on the art of restoration. Looks like good times ahead.[/glb]

So if you have an interest or desire to hang out and learn with me or give some comments on what has worked for you were all ears.

I mentioned to Jack I might be able to go by the shop this weekend and snap a couple photos. Trust me on this. $9,000.00 does not get you a bunch of C2 in very good shape but it's a start. It's very ruff!!!!!
