Title: anoying noises
Post by Theo the Venlonaar on Jul 12th, 2016 at 11:04am
Rh rear wheel makes squeaky noises. I replaced the ujoints of the RH shaft. The most teribble noise was gone but therefor other squeaky noises came. I'm afraid that my new bearings are gone, installed by a corvettespecialist...

Rear axle jacked up. The metaalic noises are not heard while driving, only jacked up:

Maybe someone can determinate if this sounds good:

The second one sounds like the parking break could have come apart. The first one????

Disconnect the ujoint & if it still makes noise it's the bearing...nothing else left

You'll have to send the whole trailing arm...I would do both sides while you're at it. Send the rotors too & tell them you want 000-.003 end play in the bearing. They can also get your runout to the min this way too.

Sounds like who ever did them 4 yrs ago didn't do them right. They should last the life of the car do to the low mileage put on the cars. I would look to another builder...my 2 cents!

That will also cause the tire valve to ware & we all know where that goes :-?One reason I always hated chrome rings & hub caps
