Isn't the 2014 Corvette considered the 60th anniversary Vette as many were built and sold in 2013?

First Corvettes rolled off the assembly line on June 30, 1953 - 1953-2013-14

The Chevrolet Corvette (C7) is the seventh generation of the Corvette sports car manufactured by American automobile manufacturer Chevrolet. It was introduced for the 2014 model year as the first to bear the Corvette Stingray name since the 1968 third generation model. The first C7 Corvettes were delivered in the third quarter of 2013. 1953-2013-14

Delivery of 2014 Corvette Stingray coupé to dealers began on September 18, 2013

2013. The seventh generation Corvette is introduced at an invitation-only reveal in Detroit on January 13. The Stingray designation returns.

2013. Indy 500 is paced by a 2014 Laguna Blue Corvette Z51 driven by San Francisco NFL coach Jim Harbaugh.

2013. Aluminum frames become the standard for all coupe and convertible models.

2013. Michelin becomes the exclusive tire supplier for Corvette.

2013. The Stingray features a LT1 V8 engine with 460 HP making it the quickest, most powerful standard Corvette to date.

Actually the 2013 C6 Corvette is considered the 60th.
This anniversary addition 427 convertible is the inspiration for Sharky.
I saw this car with a factory 427 and the dreams started flying in my head.
Lots of advice from Alan here and  . . . . . . Dreams can come true!

I'd still like to own this car one day even though it is not red! LOL!

I understand that, but many of the 2014 Corvettes were built and sold in 2013 so I consider them the 60th anniversary ones too. AND you'd think the major makeover should have been celebrated on the 60th anniversary... so that really confuses me.

Uh... your four years off on that one....

Point I was trying to make is why didn't Corvette have the major remake for the 60th anniversary?
It looked ready to go as several were were sold in late 2013. The C6 was already 8 years old, so how do you really celebrate the 60th anniversary???

In fact I was hired to shoot a big 60th Corvette event at LeMay's that year.

LOL!
:D Yeah, that math thing!
GM didn't do for the 30th, 40th, 50th or . . .. .60th!  :o
Guess my expectations were met given the history!

That C7 is a beautiful car though! Diane and I still kick around the idea of getting one one day. She regularly comments on liking the black accents on it!
