I finally broke down & purchased a quality air powered grease gun. I was greasing the 68 & when I went to grease the idler arm the pivot joint on the bottom came apart.  Shocked Never had that happen...so I'm going to pick up a new one in a few minutes. I guess when you think you saw it all!!!!

Glad you were NOT in the drivers seat at the time Roll Eyes. Could have been a very dangerous and scary ride. Was there any hint of this problem the last time you drove it? My Toyota truck had a bad one once, never knew it till I purchased tires. Love my air gun, Very nice on the hands Smiley

It never did come apart & looked & felt fine. The grease gun pushed it apart about 1"... Just picked up the new one & will install in the morning.

Could you imagine the problems some people drive with that never check their cars.  We take care of these cars and still seem to find a little problem here and there.
