Welcome to the forum Bryce! Tons of info here.

You would get better response if you post your question in one of the categories on the forum.
Maybe post a photo of the problem too.

I finally got to check something off my bucket list. I'm 76 years old and just purchased a 81 Vette from someone who had owned it for 20 years. It's in good shape but has some small things like door locks to fix. I'm not restoring it as it is going to be a daily driver. Other cars are 2014 Camaro and a 2017 Colorado. A Chevy man all the way!!

I am running into a problem in my 1976Corvette.The battery keeps going dead on me. I recently replaced the battery because of this dead battery problem. I always keep the battery on a tickle charger. After I drive the car for a couple of hours I then will turn it off. If I attempt to start it again after a couple of minutes, I will find that the battery is dead. The alternator appears to be working. When I put a multimeter on the alternator, it is showing that it putting out less than one volt. What is the correct voltage that the alternator should be reading. What else should I be looking at to correct this battery issue. Thanks!

I always loved my 1976 Corvette Stingray which I purchased new in January 1976.  Smiley. It is still hanging out in my garage after 43 years.

Welcome to the forum. The Alt should put out 14 to 14.4 V at 1000rpm.  Put the headlights on run it up to around 1500rpm & it should read around 14V a little lower or higher is fine. To check & see if you have a drain you'll have to use an amp meter with the engine off. Check the Alt first

As a new owner of a corvette, I look forward to seeing what others are doing with their cars and hopefully, getting answers to some of the many questions I have about caring for mine.

Hi!RERUN here - I have a 77 vette that I purchase just to flip so I can build my 67 nova that I've had for 40 years. Having kids in college it was very difficult to invest in my car every time I built something there was that school tuition again. Well taking my daughter to see a college i came across this orange C3 that was cheap with a spun bearing . I installed a 305 which is what was laying around so I can make a quick flip. Okay readers that was 14 years ago and I still have my beauty I attempt to sell the nova but never my Vette

Glad to have you here! Lots of info for the 77 Corvette as that was the year that started this forum back in 2002 and it grew from there.
