Help again guys. The driver side rear wheel is very hot to the touch and has a foul smell. Changed the caliper and the pads still having the problem. A friend suggested that I change the brake line. However, I have stainless not rubber so can't understand how that could be the problem. Also, I removed the parking brakes years ago. The car was parked for about 8 months. Started driving it about 2 weeks ago and noticed the smell and changed pads and caliper.

As always suggestions greatly appreciated

Did you bleed the inside first then the outside? Could be the  proportioning valve sticking. Try jacking the rear up & if you have power breaks start the engine then hit the breaks & let off do the wheels spin free?

Thanks Guys, guess the DA was all over me. I removed the rear wheel and the bearings were ok. Crawled under to check the exhaust and low and behold there was a rubber brake line hiding behind the trailing arm. I changed both sides and the heat and smell went away. The parts place did not have stainless so had to go with the rubber.

Again, Thanks Guys Smiley
