In 1983 Chevrolet missed an opportunity to produce a 30th Anniversary model after building a dozen and a half C-4's (mules) for testing they decided to forgo an anniversary edition and just bring out the new Corvette as a 1984 model 1984 holds the second highest production behind the 1979 C-3's but, who knows why this is?

If memory servers were there not issues with the new Targa top and stiffness of the new body delaying production of the new C4?

Either way the C4 is a very cool car to drive! If you can get in and out of one they are cheaper than driving a Hyundai! LOL
