I notice that my passenger-side headlamp raises and lowers slower than does the driver-side.   With engine off and headlamps raised, I can easily push the passenger-side headlamp assembly down and up by hand.  The driver-side assembly seems locked in place.   Is this a sign of a needed repair, maybe to the actuator?

You should be able to raise it by hand, but not push it down once it is in the up position. It should lock into the linkage in the up position. If you wanted to lower it manually you would have to go under and pull down on the linkage.Try adjusting the  9/16 bolt till it locks.

Thanks for the replies.  I will attempt to adjust the bolt to see if it will lock.
