I learned that I should have the fans come on with the air so I hooked up a 30 amp relay. I used the signal to the compressor to flip the relay so when the air is on, the fans are on! Nice except the fans would not turn off! Doh! It seems my Bosch 30 amp relays would lightly weld themselves on when the fans came on. Hmm, thanks to Amazon I had new 50 amp relays arriving in two days! Nice! Last night I hooked up the 50 amp relay and all worked perfectly!  Yes, I know when the car is moving I do not need the fans on for the air conditioning but I do not have a trinary switch and am to lazy to get, wire and install one! LOL! Did not get to drive her today but tomorrow I will and test the new setup! Both have air & the 68 with the bigger motor runs cooler. 170 degrees + or - a few degrees in all weather. I think the main thing in these cars is to make sure that front is blocked off so all the air has to go through the radiator. That big lower scoop on the 68 helps alot too & keeps the car glued to the ground at higher speeds. I love my creature comforts! While rolling a C3 convertible is reasonably comfortable however come to a stop on a hot day in traffic with black interior and no roof and you get cooked pretty fast. I added the sound dampener heat shield stuff also when I re carpeted! Yeah, I know, sound deadening material in a convertible with pipes . . . . but it makes a big difference with a top on! My car is downright civil! It gets hot over there in the summer and very cold in the winter! No thanks! Couple of days ago I installed a "Catch Can" in Sharky. Not much room left but I found a place. Tonight I will be installing a new "Neutral Safety Switch". Mine does not work. This should also fix my backup lights! I did find a "Like New" soft top frame all original from a 69 that had been stored for 30 plus years. Since mine has a broken bow, I pulled my soft top off the car and installed the original 69 top. The canvas is great but not stretchy enough anymore so I will recover the new frame this winter! I swore I'd never do that again but here I go again . . . . . Anyone need a convertible soft top let me know ASAP I'll sell it complete but once I start the recover I'll pick and choose best parts from both tops! For example the new frame has latches but the adjust screws are gone. Ecklers wants 10 bucks each for a screw! Sheesh!  Also the latch pins are missing on the new frame so I'll take those too. So if you need a top SPEAK UP NOW! Not sure how to ship the thing though. I'll post in the FS area too. Saturday was GM Nationals at SIR or Evergreen Raceways here in Seattle. Heavy threats of rain kept most away but there were still a lot of cars including a show with maybe 75 vehicles. My first and slowest run was against my brother and his 68 Firebird. I ran an 12.8 he ran a 10.8. OK, we are not in the same class and we got lucky the official was nice to let us run! I could not hook up and was all over the place. Even had some nice fellow come to me after the race and try to explain how to launch a street car! Great tips and Great guy.I did get LOTS of input from my brother too. I was in Sportsman or StreetRod class he is in ProStreet. Doh! I ran 4 or 5 times kept getting faster. My my best run was a 12.06! I consider that perfect! If I HIT 11'S the rules change and I'm required to have a roll bar, harness, battery switch, etc etc etc! So after all that work in street trim, street tires, pump gas, no slicks, drive to the track for an hour and then home afterwards I still show 3/4 tank of gas AND ran a 12.06! YES! I am very happy with my car! I know if I could drive better I'd be in the 11's without a doubt! LS7, I highly recommend it!  Scott In line at Pre Tech inspection At 110 MPH my headlights popped up! Guess I should hook up vacuum! LOL! You put 17's on it & you be in the low 11's for sure & that 60' time will come down. Those times will blow my cars off the road today.  My 17's really hook also put some shocks on the front that let the front end really come up. Never took my 68 to the track & I know I'd only get one run same with the Dodge so I just don't bother plus my insurance would be void if I crashed. Yeah, My insurance is not good at the track so care is taken! I am very pleased with the 12.06!  I know I can get more but hey, then they'd yell at me! I'm surprised they let me run a vert that fast as the rules clearly indicate requirements much stricter on verts! My red hard top was very intentional! Not the black vinyl! Believe it or not, I just put her in drive! No shifting at all! No overdrive though! It did force me to beef up the rear drive train though. That's the problem with these cars if they hook good & you have tons of TQ  the stock parts can't handle it. I can't figure out how they drove with those skinny little tires, but I was one of them so I guess we just slid all over the place.
