what was different about the 1977 ignition shielding that adorned the engine compartments since the C-1 series?? in 1978 and later due to the high energy ignition and better insulation on wires the shielding was plastic but 1977 one little thing changed---any guesses????

the answer is............prior to 1977 the shielding used "wing nuts" to hold it together, in 1977 (another 1 year only stat) they switched to hex head bolts with a star washer
