Report: New Corvette delayed because it's too powerful

According to a new report by Hagerty, development of the new mid-engine Corvette is delayed partly due to the aluminum frame warping so much when the car accelerates, that the glass engine cover is busting. The car, which has a twin-turbocharged V8 hybrid powertrain, is said to be able to deliver as much as 1,000 horsepower.

Yep, Corvette use to stand out and stand alone... not anymore. Nice, fast, modern, but the Corvette looks seems to be gone. It first happened after the C3s. That was when Corvette started deviating from the Corvette look.

I agree it will look European however I really look forward to the first look of the mid engine corvette without the camo look.

I watched the car running on tracks and the back end looks really weird or bulky to me.

We'll see when it is finally shown!

I could forgive some looks issue if it actually pushes over 1K HP!
