Hi everyone. I have always dreamed of owning a C3. In fact I have wanted to have one of them almost as long as I have wanted to be an engineer. I have been looking at some and doing research and found a couple potential options here in SE Texas, so I am getting really excited to be fulfilling that childhood dream.

I do have  a question after looking at a handful of C3's. . . I keep seeing rust on a metal body seam at the top of the door jams. Is this cause for immediate concern or something that could be dressed, sealed, and painted to be good to go for a while? The area in question is circled in the attached picture.

Welcome to the forum.  To bad I just sold my 77 which was in perfect condition.  I checked my 68 & 73 ...no rust. Rust in this area means there's rust in other places. Anywhere around the windshield that has rust can mean big problems.  Also look behind the kick panels plus get the car on a lift & check the underside.  So unless you want to do a body off ...walk. Go luck on finding your C-3

Looks like he didn't like our answers, maybe he should ask someone on facebook. I'm sure they'll be  more than happy to say what he wants the hear.
