About a month ago my serpentine belt started to go! You know, one of the ribs let go and all the slapping under the hood! I was not far from home so I managed to baby her home.

No worries, I had quite an issue getting the correct size belt and also knew the belt on the car was questionable so I kept a spare handy! You know, just in case . . . . .

Given my left hand having issues It wasn't until last week I decided I'd best fix the belt. I grabbed the spare and put it on!

YIKES! I started her up and she was squealing like a stuck pig! What the heck!!
So off came the idler pully and out come the straight edge. Hmm, looks pretty spot on.

A couple quick squirts of water indicated the belt was squealing. Off came the belt and I spun all the pullys.

So I was staring at the belt wrap, wait a minute . . . . those number don't seem correct . . . .

Jeeees, I managed to save the wrong belt! It was one size too long!!
Off to the store for the correct belt.

All is good again! LOL!
I did get a good drive in yesterday!

It seems like there will always be something that breaks on these C3's! I still think the C3 is the finest "true" Corvette out there... just nasty when you see it coming down the road and even from behind... those sweeping fenders.
