After a very long time flipping back and forth I decided to go 17X8 wheels on the 69! Toss on some nice tires and here she is!

Thanks Alan,
A couple of runs up the freeway and they just seem to track better! Not as "darty" as the normal ride! I've not had any real cornering in her yet but in general I really like the feel! She just seems more planted on the road!

Cool

Once you break in the tires & do some burn outs & hard cornering the difference will be very noticeable.  It's actually hard to do a good burn out if the car is set up with the right springs etc. It will just squat & go...lots of fun & money well spent.

well, seeing how it's getting harder and harder to find decent 15" tires, it's probably a smart move! and, as Alan said, they do look Great!!

Thanks Chris!

Alan had some input here too! I pinged him a few times with my ideas until I finally put on my big boy pants and just did it! LOL!

I did do a mild launch with the new wheels. I can still spin them just fine but it was noticeably more gripping of the road!

We have a family run at the track in June. I hope to get into the 11's and thus tossed off the track for going to fast in a ragtop and no roll bar!

Should be a fun day!

When I dynoed mine they said I'd get in the high 10's or low 11's for sure & like you said asked to leave. Never did it because I'm always afraid of destroying some rear end parts....been there & did that before plus my insurance (classic) says it's a no no.
Do you have 1350 ujoints all around & not a stock drive shaft or half shafts?
