Nice welcome to the forum. New C3,1971, owner.  Find PO disconnected tach cable from distributor.  I am finding the tach cable is too short to reach the cable connection on the distributor.  First, should the connection on the dist. be facing the firewall? (which would be a tight 90 deg bend in cable) Second, can you sub the tach cable with a speedometer cable? (as it appears the speedo cable has more length).  I realize I may also be facing the bad tach gears in the distributor jf tach stays inop after connection.  Thanks for help and feedback.
