We get asked a lot about when do we put our boat away for winter. So I thought I'd post here.

The answer is we don't! LOL

In reality it does not get cold enough for long enough here to warrant putting her away! We also do not have a hurricane season. So Destiny stays in the water year round ready to play at a moments notice!
When it does get cold enough to freeze water in our marine we are forbidden to move boats so maybe a week out of several years.

Otherwise we set her internal heaters to maintain 50 degrees or so to prevent any possibility of freezing. We do open any hatches that cover through hulls or water pipes. This exposes them to the cabin warmth.

Other than that we just keep right on using her!

Funny you should bring this up. I just finished updating a local marinas computers & networking.  Summit North Marina

              https://www.summitnorthmarina.com/

which is at the top of the Delaware Bay & the Chesapeake Bay just off the C& D Canal.  They can dock boats  up to 250' 'long & have around 400 slips. I was surprised how many people live on there boats all yr long. Because the water does freeze here...they use bubblers.  I guess whatever floats your boat Roll Eyes
